The photos in this collection are from, the 2011 Hall of Fame inductee and King Kong legend, Jeff Dane. The King Kong project is well under way and looking awesome. The King Kong truck will be replicating the maroon version of the earlier King Kong truck. Many thanks to Jeff Dane for all of his hard work on rebuilding the historical truck and allowing us to use these photos as part of the IMTM history preservation project!

- With majority of the sheet metal cut away from the military cab now the firewall and floor from the Ford cab can be cut out and slid over and welded in place.
- Jeff Dane has decided to fashion the firewall in the exact same way the original truck was done. The idea of using a portion of the Army truck firewall and floor has been scrapped. He will alter the Ford firewall to make room for the motor.
- The cab in these pictures still needs to be moved forward some 14 more inches once Jeff cuts the firewall to allow for the diesel motor length. He’ll then make the body mounts, mount the front end to the cab, square it up on the frame and front axle, then weld the body mounts into place.
